Biografie

Dr. Ir. Daniëlle Groetelaers has been working at TU Delft since 1997 as a Phd, researcher and assistant professor in the field of municipal land policy, land policy instruments and land economics. In 2004, she received her PhD for her thesis entitled ‘Legal provisions to facilitate land development. Local authorities’ management opportunities in a changing market situation’. After her Phd Daniëlle Groetelaers has worked on various research projects in the field of urban land development, land economics, spatial planning, housing markets and housing development. Groetelaers was coordinator of the European Network for Housing Research (ENHR) Working Group ‘Land Markets and Housing Policy’ and she was editor of the Dutch property law journal Vastgoedrecht.

As a teacher, Groetelaers has been involved in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management and in the faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at TU Delft, as well as Delft’s PhD Start-Up programmes. She is also PhD supervisor.

Since 2016 Danielle has been working as department manager for the department OTB and since 2019 for the department of Architecture.
As of October 2023 Danielle is Program Manager Integrated Education Planning for the faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment.
